A Comfy + Chic Travel Outfit

Through trial and error on long haul flights, I’ve come up with the comfy + chic travel outfit. Or at least that’s what I’m calling it! Below is a formula I use to maximize both style and comfort.

  • A great pair of jeans (or jeggings!) – I’m a huge fan of jeggings for a long flight. I don’t think you can tell the difference from actual jeans and they are so much more comfortable–especially if you are going to be wearing them for 10+ hours.
  • Layers – A lightweight top or tee under a sweater, blazer or jacket in case it gets too cold or too hot onboard. Barefoot Dreams Cardigans (shown below) are insanely comfortable
  • Stylish sneakers or flats – Sneakers and flats are easy to get on and off through security and are comfortable no matter how far away your gate is!
  • Blanket Scarf – Not only are they cozy, but they’re large enough to cover yourself as a blanket and keep you warm. Let’s be honest, those thin airline blankets just never do the trick! Bonus: it can also be rolled up to use as a pillow if needed.
Traveling Chic has an airport style board on Pinterest >HERE< and >HERE< if you are looking more inspiration! What is your go-to travel outfit?
