Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Magic of Film Making!

One of the best things we did on our recent trip to Los Angeles was joining the Warner Bros Studio Tour. Upon arrival we watched a video learning about the history of the studios and some fun anecdotes about the different movies and TV shows that have filmed there. Afterwards, our guide brought us to a golf court (which is what everyone drives on the studio lots to avoid the loud noises a car can make). We were whisked off…

10 Most Charming Towns in the US

Happy 4th of July! In honor of America’s birthday, I’ve pulled together a list of some of the most charming towns in the United States. The US is incredibly expansive and first-time visitors often hit the big cities and miss out on some of the most charming and friendly places the US has to offer. If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend putting both big cities and small towns on your itinerary. While big cities are great to explore…

The Ultimate Guide to New York Restaurants

One of the best things about visiting New York is the food! I don’t think there is another city that could surpass New York in the sheer amount as well as the variety of restaurants at your finger tips. Not to mention that everything stays open late, so no matter what hour you are craving something–I’m pretty sure you could find it in the Big Apple! I’ve been meaning to do a restaurant post for ages, so I’ve finally compiled…

Los Angeles Travel Guide

Mike and I recently took a trip to Los Angeles over a long weekend. For anyone who has visited before you’ll know what I mean when I say this is a BIG city. It’s literally impossible to see everything in a weekend, so Mike and I decided not to even try. Having both visited in the past, we didn’t hit up all of the usual first-time spots, but there are plenty of things we saw on this trip that I…

Griffith Observatory + La La Land Planetarium

We woke up early one morning, grabbed coffee and pastries at Intelligentsia (which is fantastic btw!) and headed up to the Griffith Observatory to explore the surroundings.Parking was $4 and completely empty before 8am, but I hear as the day goes on the parking lots fill up and it’s pure madness. The actual observatory doesn’t open until 10am on the weekends, so we just enjoyed our coffees while walking around the building enjoying the architecture and the surrounding views.I loved…

Hollywood Hike

When I think of LA the infamous Hollywood sign in the hills is one of the first images that comes to mind. Interestingly, the sign was installed in 1923 as an advertisement for a real estate development called Hollywoodland. Only later did the giant marquee become an international symbol of stardom and the entertainment industry! In recent years, the Hollywood Hike that leads up to the sign has become a popular tourist attraction and a great place for locals to…

A Weekend Trip to Washington DC – Travel Guide

My first trip to Washington DC was a school trip in 8th grade. I stayed in a hotel room with 3 girlfriends without parents for the first time! Hey o! Needless to say it was a bit of a boy-crazed weekend! But that’s not to say I didn’t learn anything. I have fond memories of seeing the White House for the first time, doing a scavenger hunt at the Smithsonian, and sitting in the theater where Abe Lincoln was shot.…
