Griffith Observatory + La La Land Planetarium

We woke up early one morning, grabbed coffee and pastries at Intelligentsia (which is fantastic btw!) and headed up to the Griffith Observatory to explore the surroundings.Parking was $4 and completely empty before 8am, but I hear as the day goes on the parking lots fill up and it’s pure madness. The actual observatory doesn’t open until 10am on the weekends, so we just enjoyed our coffees while walking around the building enjoying the architecture and the surrounding views.I loved the early morning misty views of the city, but coming at night to see sunset would have been amazing too!If you visit LA a trip up to the Griffith Observatory and park is a must see just for the views alone! I want to come back to experience the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, but for now I will have to enjoy it via La La Land!
