Introducing Traveling Chic Itineraries + A Giveaway!

I’m excited to announce the launch of Traveling Chic’s New York City Itinerary today!

I love travel guide books, I have an entire bookshelf dedicated to them, but I’ve always felt there are a few things missing:

  1. They lack a certain amount of enthusiasm about the destination they are writing about (I think this is due to overworked and underpaid travel writers that are expected to research a city in a day or two);
  2. They are full of so much useful information they can be overwhelming;
  3. They lack recommendations that cater to female-friendly activities (i.e. where to find souvenirs, the perfect restaurant with a view, stylish boutiques, fun bars for cocktails with your girlfriends, etc.).

I know many of you work long hours and don’t have the time or desire to research and plan all of the details that go into a great trip. I also know many of you like to do some planning but feel overwhelmed about all of the choices, as well as, how to breakout the day in order to maximize the limited time. Travel agents can be great, but if they haven’t been to the destination or spent hours upon hours researching the best things to eat, see, and do, they aren’t going to be able to provide you with the once in a lifetime recommendations that you are looking for. That’s where the Traveling Chic Itinerary comes in!

Detailed itineraries and city guides have always been available to read on the Traveling Chic blog (and will continue to be a free source for travel information), but I wanted to create an additional option for you: A travel guide that is more polished than a blog post; contains ALL of the information you need in one place; and will plan your entire trip if you don’t have the time or energy to do the research and planning beforehand.

I’ve spent the last few months creating these itineraries and it’s been a true labor of love making sure these guides provide the very best advice for your once in a lifetime trips. I’ve loved every minute of creating these guides, and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do! London is the next guide to launch and many more cities to follow in the near future!
