What to Pack for a Fall Getaway

what-to-pack-for-fall-getaway

Road Trip: Coat / Blanket Scarf / Boots / Sunglasses / Weekender

In my opinion, a road trip is one of the best ways to enjoy fall! Driving out-of-town in search of a slower pace, apple cider, and colorful foliage is the perfect recipe for an unforgettable trip!

Don’t forget to pack a good playlist and some treats for the car ride!

Cozy Up by the Fire: Slippers / Book / Sweater / Blanket / Socks

There is nothing better than spending the evening reading by the fire after a day full of fresh air! Be sure to bring a comfy sweater, slippers, and a good book to enjoy. Take time to relax and truly escape! I just started reading A Man Called Ove for my book club, so hopefully it’s a good one!

Morning Coffee Run: Pullover / Mug (sold out –Camp Brand) / Boots / Suede Leggings

Whether you’re after a pumpkin spice latte or just a cup of Jo, a pullover and Hunter boots are all you need to stroll through charming New England towns like Kennebunkport, Bar Harbor, or Woodstock. The packable Hunter boots are great for travel and come in handy if it rains!

A Walk in the Woods: Vest / Jacket / Hiking Boots / Camera

Getting out on a trail is the best way to see the trees changing and enjoy the crisp, fall weather. Be sure to bring a good pair of walking shoes and your camera. I love the red laces on the Danner Hiking boots. Each pair is handmade in Portland with superior craftsmanship. You may remember seeing them on Reese Witherspoon’s feet in the movie “Wild”.

Where is your favorite place for a fall getaway? I’d love to hear!

Happy Travels!
