Postcards from Provence – Crillon le Brave

03_Crillon-le-braveWe’re down to my last post on the South of France and I think it’s safe to say I saved the best for last… although our stay in Menerbes was pretty amazing too. Let’s just call it a tie! The only way I can describe the little town of Crillon le Brave and its incredible hotel is to compare it to a fairy tale town. It was seriously straight out of a storybook! 19_Crillon-le-braveProbably the biggest highlight from our stay was watching the sun rise and set on the patio overlooking the french countryside. This video doesn’t do the view justice, but you can get the idea of how lovely it was.

20_Crillon-le-braveOne of the highlights of our stay was learning how to play the French yard game, Petanque. It was a fun activity to fill up the time before dinner. 22_Crillon-le-brave27_Crillon-le-brave 26_Crillon-le-braveWanting to see a little more of the town we took the bikes out to explore the outer limits. The views, as expected, were incredible and it was fun to be out with the serious cyclists!  21_Crillon-le-brave01_Crillon-le-brave 12_Crillon-le-braveSince it was our last night in Provence, we decided to go all out on our dinner. We both chose the seven course chef’s tasting menu at the gastronomic restaurant, Jerome Blanchet. My husband is still talking about the gigantic cheese plate that made an appearance! Crillon-le-braveI keep talking about the bed!Crillon-le-braveI did a full review of the hotel on The Travel Hack here if you are interested in reading more. This hotel was truly amazing and every single person working at this hotel was kind, fun, and oh so helpful. If you go a little off-season their website has hotel room prices for 99 Euros! Such a steal because this hotel is worth 4x as much!

Happy Friday and happy travels!

Jenny
