What to Pack for Hawaii

When packing for a trip to Hawaii you’ll want to plan for lots of adventurous activities that are primarily outside. From hiking, to surfing, to a lazy day at the beach, here’s a few things you won’t want to forget.

 Beach Day

Pool Float / Aloha Tote / Swimsuit

The beaches in Hawaii are next to none. Be sure to bring a beach tote, fun swimsuit, and lots of sunscreen. If you plan on snorkeling every day it may be cost effective to pack your own snorkel set . A pool float can add a lot of fun to a beach day as well, but be careful it doesn’t get taken out to sea!

Hiking Diamond Head

Hat / Water bottle / Sneakers

There a lot of great hikes to choose in Hawaii, but making it up Diamond Head is a personal favorite as the views of Waikiki are amazing. The trail doesn’t provide a lot of shade, so don’t forget a hat and suncreen.

Pool Day

Vacation towel / Straw hat / Book

A pina colada and a good book at the pool are the perfect way to get on island time and start enjoying your vacation.

Surfing the Northshore

Rashguard / Flip flops / Sunnies

If you’re planning to try surfing you’ll be so happy to have a rashguard as the board takes a beating on your stomach and arms. These flip flops are great because they are comfortable and can easily rinse off the salt water and sand.

Dinner and a Luau

Jewelry / Hand bag / Dress

No need to get too dressed up in Hawaii, but a few lightweight dresses will pack well and work perfect for any evening activity.

Aloha and happy travels!
