What to Pack for Martha’s Vineyard

With the 4th of July just around the corner, places like Martha’s Vineyard come to mind! Maybe it’s because much of America’s early history took place in New England or because of the abundance of charming and quaint seaside towns, but this part of the country feels so patriotic and just plain American at this time of year. If you want to find a picture perfect slice of Americana, then Martha’s Vineyard is the place to be. This quaint island off the coast of Cape Cod is only accessible by boat or air making it feel that much more special of a destination to visit.

If there is one thing that is true to the East Coast it is their signature preppy style. Reds, blues, stripes, anchors, and really anything preppy always seem to be in style. We’ve previously created packing guides for Cape Cod, Maine, and Nantucket, so the Martha’s Vineyard guide continues with the same East Coast vibe.

Despite the wealth on this island it is a relatively casual destination, so a cute blouse or a cotton dress is perfect for an evening out. When packing for a summer trip to Martha’s Vineyard you’ll need casual beachwear and light sweaters for when it cools down in the evening.

Martha Vineyard’s EAT / SEE / DO List
